Contract of Commitment

1.   I agree to respect the people, personal boundaries and property of the YES Company Program and all of the rehearsal and performance facilities.

2.   I agree to telephone the director and give 24 hours-advanced notice of any known absence.  In the event of an emergency situation, I will call within 24 hours of said absence.

3.   I understand that meetings will begin and end on time and that arrival 5 minutes after start time is considered tardy.

4.   I will call if I am running late and I will ask the director for permission prior to the next meeting if I need to be absent.

5.   I will give advance notice, in writing, to the director of any schedule conflicts for approval.

6.   I understand, ideally I am not to miss any rehearsals.  If I miss any rehearsals/performances from June 21 - August 1, I understand I may be dropped from the show.

7.   I will not change my appearance without approval from the director, i.e., cut or color hair.

8.   I understand that I am expected to stay for the entire duration of rehearsals and performances, provide my own transportation or carpool with other members, and wear appropriate clothing and shoes (no backless shoes, i.e., sandals or Birkenstocks, no short skirts or baggy pants) to rehearsal.  I will wear assigned costumes for performances as designated by the director.

9.   I understand that I am more than an actor or crew member, that I am also seen as a peer educator, youth advocate, and role model.  For these reasons and also because I am under the legal drinking age, I agree not to use alcohol or any other drugs during the time I am an active participant in the YES Company Program.

10. I understand that if I currently smoke or chew tobacco, I will make an honest effort to stop smoking/chewing.  I will commit to the goal to be smoke-free three months from the date I signed this contract.  I understand that I can not smoke or chew at or around any YES Company activities.

11. I agree to bring and maintain at each rehearsal a performance folder, journal (provided by SCOE) and a pencil in order to note changes in scripts, schedules, etc.

12. I understand that I may be dropped from the program at any time forfeiting any fees if I am unable to maintain the discipline and responsibility necessary to obtain a positive, productive and safe environment to all involved in the production.

13. My position in YES Company will be subject to review by the director under
     the following circumstances:
     a)
 1 unexcused absence
     b)
 2 absences or tardies
     c)
Use or possession of alcohol or other drugs
     d) Failure to adhere to any of the above mentioned agreements (1-12)
